8 Random Facts About Me

There is a challenge going around Instagram to share 8 random facts about yourself, and I was nominated to share by a good friend who also happens to be one of the biggest supporters of my business…and the person who helped me build this website!

I completed the post on Instagram, but thought it would be fun to share here as well in case there are readers of this blog who do not follow me on Instagram.

① I have five siblings! There is an 18 year gap from oldest to youngest, and I am the second oldest. My youngest sister and I are the most similar, even though we have a 16 year age difference.

② I majored in History (specifically Ancient & Medieval) in college, and have done absolutely nothing with it since.

③ I dabbled in figure skating for a few years in middle school and absolutely loved skating, but wasn’t brave enough to get good at jumping or spinning so I eventually traded in figure skating for horseback riding.

④ I grew up on the campus of a Catholic boarding school. Very sheltered, but a great place to grow up climbing trees and riding bikes!

⑤ I went to a women’s college (Sweet Briar) because it had good academics and a great riding program. The lack of boys on campus never bothered me. (Even though my high school friends tried to convince me it would be social suicide 😂)

⑥ The mile run in elementary/middle school was a horrible experience every year with me finishing dead last and in the middle of an asthma attack.

⑦ I joined the a cappella group while at Sweet Briar and was the director my senior year.

⑧ I was the pickiest eater as a child. I grew up eating in the school dining hall so it was easy to get away with eating plain pasta for every meal. 🤣
