Monday Minute 8/17/20
I had a busy week of PT last week! I was in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings for heat + stim, exercises, stretching, and ice. In addition to what I did at PT, I had stretches and exercises to do on my own at home. I still have a bit of low-back pain and tightness in my hip if I sit for too long, but otherwise I’m feeling pretty good! I was told I could run if I kept it easy, flat, and every other day, so I ran on Tuesday and Thursday. Thursday is track day for my athletes and I, so I ran clockwise and offered moral support with Lindsey who is also rehabbing, while Laura and Eileen ran the workout counter-clockwise. Having Lindsey with me, and focusing on the others doing the workout actually made the 4 mile jog around the track fly by! (much to my surprise)
Hubs and I headed to Lewisburg, WV early on Friday afternoon for a weekend getaway - the first travel-for-fun we’ve had since pre-COVID. We got to spend some quality time with my horse, and with a few of my friends that still live there. We had hoped to do some hiking and biking, but the weather forecast was rainy, so we left the bikes at home, and didn’t end up getting to hike either.
It was really nice just to get out of town for a weekend even if we didn’t do a whole lot! It was especially good to catch up with good friends who recently moved back to the ‘burg from Florida.
We arrived back home this afternoon, giving me a few hours for unpacking and relaxing before my Monday night fitness class.
